Locus Chen (b. 1996 Beijing, China) is a New York-based artist who engages with various fine art media to explore the potency of self and artistic expressions — printmaking, papermaking, installation, book arts, collage and assemblage, and fiber arts and glass in the near future. She is interested in exploring the language of materiality and the media. Hybridizing the nostalgia for eastern aesthetics, and logistics from western art institutions, her work traverses fluidly between art & craft, nature & artifact, personal & universal.
Recently graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Printmaking in Fall 2019, she is working to sustain an art practice and looking for opportunities to nourish her artist career.
